About this bill

The purpose of this bill is to create a national-level environmental reporting system, including affirming the role of the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment in reporting on environmental reports and processes that produced the reports.
Procedural notes
  • Extended sittings used: This bill was progressed during one or more extended sittings of the House of Representatives. This enables MPs to meet for longer than normal to consider legislation. It does not alter the stages that a bill must pass through to become law.
